What's Causing this: Reminder 18 hrs ahead??

Hello:

I've checked my Outlook settings, and for some very strange reason, my
reminders start at 18 hours before the scheduled time for an appointment.
Where else could that be originating? It's a headache as I have to read them
carefully so as NOT to dismiss a far off apptmt, thereby NOT getting the
default 15 min *before* reminder.

Thanks, germaine

the default reminder time for all day appointments is 18 hours.

Also, if you create your appointments by double-clicking in the calendar, it
defaults to an "event" which will always get an 18 hour reminder. If you
use File->New or click on the appointment icon when in the calendar folder,
it defaults to an appointment which uses your user-defined reminder.

Is there a way to change the default behavior. If you were to double click in
the calendar it would default to an appointment and not an all day event?

I don't believe the behavior can be changed.

Double clicking will always bring up a new event. If you want an
appointment, try selecting the date and use File->New or click on the Icon.

That is helpful information but very annoying. This has had me frustrated
for a while. I suppose I need to break my habit of double clicking and get
in the habit of hitting the new appointment button. It was nice to double
click though because you could just double click on the day you wanted the
appointment and it would default to the day you wanted.
