Synapse Syndrome

I heard that MS were a bit over ambitious when they were developing Vista,
and went back and started from scratch when they realised that it wasn't
going to work.

I just saw this clip on YouTube of an early concept presentation that shows
what MS was planning in the early days. It's really nothing like what we
got in the end. Looks more like Windows 2012

The interface in Vista I agree is not a radical departure and the theme
changed after the reset in August of 2004. Things like Click Once, Castles,
PC Sync, Vectorized UI and WinFS, didn't make it. But hey, at least we got
better security, search and organization.

So it's not Windows 2012 but rather Windows XP Service Pack 4...

Not to mention SPP and an outrageous price. I am sure the pirates are
happy with the high price as it makes their job not only easier but more
profitable.
