What updates to install?

Do i need to install the CD Writing Wizard, Jet 4.0 SP*, or the Microsoft .Net framework version 1.1 with Windows XP? I would normally install what I thought I needed, but I have no idea what these are for or even if they are needed on my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Jess, I would install the CD Writing Wizard and all Critical Updates. The
rest you can skip.

How do I know that I can skip the rest of the downloads if I don't know what they are for? Is there someplace I can look these things up and decide whether to download them or not? Thanks for the help Rich. I never miss a critical update but its the other ones that mix me up. Any ideas on what Jet 4.0 SP8 and the MS .Net framework version 1.1 are for
