What to Expect from 9500 AIW ?

I've been doing my research but still don't have a clear picture of what
kind of quality to expect with video captured off this card.
I have read that the TV out quality leaves a little to be desired, but that
is not my main concern.
I'm more concerned with video captured from the TV tuner and burned to dvd
or cd to play in my standalone DVD player.
Basically I want to use it as a DVI and am hoping that the quality of
recordings will not be disappointing.
I'm not a high fidelity fanatic but would like to know if the quality is
going to be high enough that I can record some video that will be worth
archiving for future viewing or am I going to want to go buy the boxed DVD
set.
One other burning question I read a review somewhere that copy protection
is built into this card. Is this going to be a problem or is there some
workaround? Do the newer cards still have the copy protection built in?

Any advice or insight would be appreciated.
BTW I can get the AIW 9500 for $149. Good deal or not?

Sorry I don't have an answer to your questions... but maybe you can answer
mine; where are you seeing that for that price?

Appreciate the response and links but I've read reviews to I'm dizzy.
It comes down to I just don't know what my final output is gonna look like
on my TV. I haven't had any oppurtiunities to see a burnt DVD.
I know there are a lot of variables in this process including burning
software etc. Maybe my questions would be better posted at some of the DVD
burning newsgroups.

From what I've read at the viperlair site.. the aiw9000pro looks like a good
deal at $149... I'm considering getting it myself.

I have the 9000 AIW Pro. Its recorded video is OK, although somewhat jerky
sometimes. If you want really high quality video captures at a reasonable
price, check the URL below. It has some quirky software, but it captures
extremely high quality video and has its own tuner.
