What spray to "seal" prints?

Hi all,

I want to print on the back of CD-Rs I make to play in the car, but my MP3
capable car stereo manual says not to use inkjet printable CDs as the ink may
smear.

Can I spray on some sort of product that will sort of seal the surface and
prevent melting and smudging?

I use Krylon photo sprays called "preserve it". A less expensive
alternative would be a general clearcoat spray found basically
anywhere spray paint products are sold and its much cheaper.

You dont have to saturate the surface, just a quick pass spray, left
to right at 10 inches away should be fine.
