At what speed should I use to copy a CD?
I've hear that the max could make the CD skip.
What's the best copying speed? (4x, 8x etc.)

Thanks

That will only happen if you have a little slower computer. While burning
turn off screen saver and do nothing with your pc while burning and turn off
all real time background programs running. If you get problems at 48x go the
next notch slower till you find what works with your machine. If you have a
old burner 4x, 8x, might want to get a newer one, they are very cheep these
days.

I use Roxio Cd Creator 5. My top speed is 40X. Computer is only 1 year
old. Still getting skips.
Any advice.

I know that Roxio has problems, is yours the latest version which works
better. Get a copy of nero, never had any problems with it, and would use
nothing else.

Many CD players have problems with the reflectivity of the discs if burned at
fast speeds. I recommend going no faster than 24x; 12x is even better.
