What size my contacts?

I am using Outllook '02 for my business contacts list, and attaching
Word documents et al to them, as well as keeping a journal of activities
for each entry.

This will of course mean that, over time, my Contacts list will grow
quite large (i hope!)

How big is too big? At what point is the list going to say "no more"?
 
Depends where you are storing them. If on an Exchange server you are limited
to the size of the mailbox. In case of pst-files you are limited to the
maximum size of a pst-file For Outlook 97-2002 pst-files this is 2GB for
Outlook 2003 pst-files it is unlimited (well acually 4096TB minus 1 MB) but
by default restricted to 20GB.

Better is to keep just links to the documents and leave the documents on a
fileshare. This is a lot more efficiënt than storing documents in a
pst-file.

Yes, i can see it will be, as 2Gb is nothing really.
Trouble is, i tend to move documents around, for example, an invoice
that was in the "outstanding" folder will be moved to the "paid" folder.

Will the link automatically 'move' wherever i put the document?
 
Sadly the link doesn't track movements.
