Im planning to build a new PC, my Net connection is 2Mbps. Because of many brands available nowadays Im confused which one should I buy that matches my needs. Im using this new pc for the ff. purpose:

1. teleconferencing
2. Audio and Video Streaming
3. Download and Upload Audio and Videos
4. Basic Video and Audio Editing (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, CAD etc.)
5. Burning CD, DVDs etc.

Could you help me figure-out which one should I buy?

Like Abarbarian says, a budget will normally be crucial to recommend a PC - but as you are in the Philippines it may be that we can recommend a good specification that should match your approximate budget (but we wouldn't know the retailers over there). :)

If you do a lot of video editing, you're going to need quite a powerful PC. Lots of memory and a good CPU will be some of the most important parts (not so much the graphics card, as you don't mention gaming). Once we know your approximate budget we could recommend a good spec :thumb:

Sorry for my delayed reply

My budget is up to 500$ or 20,000Php that was my max, but It would be better if I can get a good PC for up to just 400$.

Since, reatailers price here in Philippines are different from other countries. Just base your preferred setup on your countries reatailers price. Specifications is more important to me. And I think the price would be not that far in our local stores.

Thank You! very Much

RUSH is right, $500 is not alot for a new PC, are you able to recycle any parts out of your old one? for example, Operating system, hard drive, case and PSU?

I put this together from scan.co.uk, not sure if they deliver to philippines. :-)

AMD AM2 Athlon 64 4600+ Windsor Core, Dual Core 2.4GHz, 2x 512KB Cache, Energy Efficent Retail £41.70

160 GB Maxtor STM3160211/15AS DiamondMax 20, SATA II, 7200 rpm, 2MB Cache, 9 ms £26.66

Gigabyte GA MA69VM-S2 AMD 690V, SAM2, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 533/667/800, SATA II, SATA RAID, VGA £34.06

512MB Sapphire HD 2400 PRO PCI-E (x16) 64Bit GDDR2, CrossFire VGA/DVI/S-Video, Retail £25.60

Toshiba/Samsung TS-H653, 20x DVD±R, 12x DVD±DL, DVD+RW x8/-RW x6, SATA, Black, Lightscribe, OEM £15.85

2GB Corsair Value Select, DDR2 PC2-5400 (667), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5 £27.66

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2b (Release 2) OEM - Single Pack £53.98

Asus TM-250 Black/Silver uATX Tower Case with 400W PSU 2 USB £32.30

Total in £269.20 about $530

Not a bad system for the money, but as i said the more you can use out of your old one the better, then you have more money to spend on other bits.

Hope this helps

Waynos_Face;

Thanks a lot for your nice response. I think your response could help me alot. I can still use my HDD, my Case, Keyboard, Mouse and OS, so I think It could reduce my expenses in building a new PC.

Again. Thank You! Very Much
