What should be considered when desiging applications

I have a very big problem when desiging UI s for my application. I dont
know how to design usable interfaces. I dont know how to divert a user..

I found a book at amazon named : User Interfaces in C#: Windows Forms
and Custom Controls. I am looking for similar books or articles on the web.
Do you know one?
