Hi,

We are in the midst of release an internal online application to our
user. At one of its page, there is a feature which will call a
javascript to download and launch a batch file on the client side for
performing certain actions. We have added the website to the trusted
zone of Internet Explorer but there is still a prompt asking "Do you
want to run or save this file". Our client machines are all running IE6
SP1 with IE Enhanced Security disabled. What we desired is to have the
batch file run automatically without the prompt of asking if we want to
run or save the file. Is that possible? If so, which security setting
on IE should i configure?

Thanks!

I belief, in either GPO or the IE security by doing these, but bear in mind
if the users accessing the Internet can be security Hole:
Enable IE Security and check these :
[$] Scripting
[$] Active scripting
(*) Enable
( ) Disable
( ) Prompt
[$] Scripting of Java applets
(*) Enable
( ) Disbale
( ) Prompt

Click on Advanced Tab and under security and check this:
[ ] Allow Software to run or install even if the signature is invalid

Try to set these settings on one machine to test and see the level of
security will adequate to your company or not.
HTH.
Regards,
nass
