OK, I guess I have to break down and buy a new scanner, seems mine is not
ever going to work again since I reinstalled WinXP. Can't even get the
drivers to install from my CD backup of the scanner software, and the
company no longer offers free software downloads- a CD now costs 35
dollars.:-(

So, everyone who owns a scanner- What brand do you think is the best in a
low to moderately priced home use scanner? How is the resolution on it? Been
a long time since I was in the market and there are so many more out there
now.

Thanks for any input. I want the best scanner I can get for the best price I
can find.:-)

.
Go to Circuit City, BestBuy or other retail outlet. Let
them give you a demonstration, for some models are
exactly what some people are looking for but not for
everyone. It depends on your likes and dislikes and
requirements. Also, some scanners have special additions
for 35mm slide scanning, that some people have no use
for. Shop around and take your time. Prices run from
$50 to $400, it all depends on YOU and the capabilities
of your system.
