What really is Computername/IUSR_Computername?

On my Windows XP Professional, my computer is called Octopus. Does
this mean that the user account referred to in many documents as
computername/IUSR_name would be Octopus/IUSR_Octopus? If so, this
account does not exist. I do however have an account called Octopus/
IUSR_MyName where MyName is my name but this is NOT the name of my
computer.

I am trying to setup SQL Server replication and it appears to fail due
to some security issue. I read somewhere that computername/
IUSR_computername is something created when IIS is installed. Since
this account does not exist, can I create it manually? If so, how?

I have IIS 5.1 on my system.

Your analysis of IUSR_name is correct, however I believe the IUSR_name for a
computer uses the original name for the computer (renaming a computer does
not change its IUSR_name) so was the computer ever named MyName?
