What r mail servers?

Hi

I ve been trying to set my mail settings. I m not getting incoming and outgoing mail servers. What r they and how do u set these servers? Please help

The mailservers can be seen as digital postoffices. You can collect your
mail people sent to you from it or give your mail to others to it and they
will deliver it to the recipient.
The settings you have to make are specifice for each Internet Provider.
Contact your Internet Provider for the settings you have to make.

The mail server is the thing connected to the internet (or internal
corporate network) which gathers and sends your mail from and to people
who send it to you or you to them.

You configure Outlook connect to the mail server, using the POP3 or
maybe IMAP protocol, to download your mail into Outlook. You configure
connected to the mail server, using the SMTP protocol, to send your mails.

Find out what mail server you use: from your internet service provider,
your company, etc. and get instructions from them (usually on a web site
for an internet service provider) for the names of the servers and how
to connect Outlook to it.
