Hi,
I own PowerQuest's PartitionMagic 7.0, which I like. However, PQ's
alternative for W2K Server, VolumeManager, is outrageously priced.
Are there other alternatives to VolumeManager to re-partition W2K *Server*
disks (NTFS)? I need to resize the partitions, and don't want to go the
Ghost both partitions, recreate the partitions, and restore route. IOW I
want the functionality of PartitionMagic on W2K Server.
I'm also considering installing WXP Professional on that box as well, in
dual boot mode. I would prefer to use WXP for my day-to-day work anyway,
but sometimes need access to W2K Server to test our software or build POC's.
Do you see any problems with running PartitionMagic under WXP, when W2K
Server is also on the same machine? Then again, PQ may detect that W2K
Server is there anyway and stop itself from running.
Thanks for your input,
Scott
