There are some features in XP that I want, and all my
emails are backed up, but what steps should I take, what
problems might I encounter if I go ahead and ungrade? If
I insteall Office XP, will my outlook automatically pull
in all my contacts and emails? Into the folders I've
established/ Or will I ahve to import them all one by one?

Help please, thanks.

Your data should be fine -- all your messages, contacts, appointments, etc.
are usually stored in a single file with a .PST extension, and Outlook 2002
should pick up right where Outlook 2000 left off. Of course, it can't hurt
to back up your important data before you upgrade (preferably to a separate
hard drive or other storage media), just in case.

Look at the following two articles for more help with this -- one is a
primer on Outlook files, and the other gives instructions for moving to a
new Outlook 2002 machine.

You can also look at http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002.htm for a
comprehensive review of Outlook 2002, and links to pages listing new
features and features from previous versions which were removed in OL2002.
