I also recommend publisher. It is much easier to work with. If you want
your newsletter to have different columns, different widths of columns from
page to page... lots of pictures...
Publisher is the right software. You create your documents like a collage.
Each article in a box that you can drag around the page and resize as
necessary. To accomplish multiple columns in Word (or having different
column setups on different pages) requires much greater skill.
Publisher is very user friendly for basic newsletters.
