So what's the story with my 30V one?

The 24V one was from antoher printer.

It turns out that the pritner in question HP DJ 690C doesn't have a
power adaptor! It just takes AC directly. i'm sure the model numbers
of pritners is the same in teh us and uk (mine's uk)
