What plays the sounds in I.E.?

Hi, I want to remove at least two or three of the programs I have on my PC
that plays Mp3s,wavs etc. I have Quick-Time, WMP, RealOne, MMJ and Winamp.
Which one is responsible for the sounds played on webpages? I don't want to
remove the wrong one and no longer hear sounds on the interment. Thanks.

This really depends on what sites you visit and what you watch and listen on
those sites.
most if not all use WMP for audio and video
some use QuickTime or give you a choice to use WMP.
a few use RealPlayer....no choice
But the normal everyday places that have sound do just fine with WMP

Thanks Peter. I know before I installed WMP10 some websites I knew had
sound, were silent, some weren't. It's a bit confusing as I would like to
hear any sounds on any of the sites I visit.
