I want to get one or more network ready drives, but can't find any that
specifically state they have drivers for x64. Any hints? TIA

Ummmm...network ready drives hook to the network, not
to the OS...they should not care what OS you're running.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you.

I'm referring to the combination firmware/software that typically comes with
each unit for managing shares, backups, etc. Those items have specific OS
requirements.

That group apparently no longer exists. I had a bookmrk to it that is no
longer valid. In maually searching the groups, I can no longer find an x64
group. Using search gives me various hits in different groups.

All of the network drives I've seen are managed through a web browser and
don't need any special drivers or software on the computer that manages
them. The drives themselves use Linux.

The x64 newsgroup still exists. You just can't get to it from the
microsoft.com newsgroup reader web interface. Use Outlook or Thunderbird to
read it. maybe one day, MS will fix this problem.
