what music downloads can be used with movie maker

I have tried Napster, ITunes and AOL and all are in
formats that movie maker does not accept. What is the
best to use and how. Would really appreciate any advise
 
Having same exact problem. Would really appreciate
answer. Seems like should be legally permitted to use
music that I purchase online and download to serve as
background music for my home movies used for personal
use.
