I wander, what line WinXP FAX uses to send faxes? In my case, I have WinXP
Home. I also have N2P FAX. When I use N2P FAX, it is send via my DSL to N2P
connection and I'm charged by N2P at their rates. What happens, if I use
WinXP fax? What phone company will charge me? The one I have a long distance
with? I appreciate explanation.

Win XP Fax will use the line you plug in to your analog fax modem.

Russ,
thanks for your suggestion. However, since I switched to DSL, I disconnected
my telephone (modem) cord. Could WinXP Fax still use "telephone" connection
(my DSL is from Sprint, a telephone company)?

With some DSL connections you can obtain a DSL line filter suitable for
connecting a standard analog voice line to the DSL line and can then connect
an analog fax modem to that line.

Thanks, Russ. I think, I'll continue to use my N2P.
