I'm trying to help a user who keeps getting popup ads on his computer. They
are not messenger service spam (that's turned off) and they pop up even
though he is not browsing the web. He says some ads contain pictures and
color text. IE is closed and in fact, the computer is just sitting there
with no apps running. It is so bad , he gets a popup ever two minutes. It is
obvious that he needs a firewall installed.
My question is what port do these come through? What windows service is used
to allow these to pop up since messenger service is off?
Thanks, bg
