I'm considering installing this program to download music files. Does
anyone have experience with this and what would be the best way to
configure Kerio Personal Firewall 2.14 after installing it?

It's a good program. I use an older version ( it works, haven't felt
it necessary to upgrade ).
No problem with Kerio either - the rule that works for me allows
tcp/udp connections both ways, any IP, any port, limited to winmx.exe.

I used to use it all the time, but have found that it's getting
harder and harder to download files immediately with it. Seems
I'm always ending up in queues now. :( www.shareaza.com is also
free and doesn't seem to put you in queues, so give it a try.

I have used it for several years. No problems yet. With open nap servers
you can generate a great number of hits for most files. You might visit
alt.music.mp3.winmx and chat with those folks.

Same here, used WinMX, but mp3's are getting hard to find. But I guess it's
depending on your location as I heard different opinions from people in
diferent locations. I'm in the Netherlands, and for mp3's nothing beats
kazaalite resurrection http://www.idg.pl/ftp/download/pc_2673/klr248_en.exe

Great program, have used it for a couple years, I like that there's no
spyware......! Pretty much always found even older mp3 files of music I've
been looking for, all in all, an excellent program. I'm in the NW USA

LMA : )

Hi Rod,
I still have Kazaa Lite ++.
Is kazaalite resurrection better?
Do you think I have to change?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I switched to Resurrection after last years lawsuit form Sharman networks
which forced the K-lite-people to abandon the development of their program,
Ressurection is a completely different program, although it looks and works
the same as Kazaa Lite. If you're content with your version, I don't see a
reason to switch.

I find that if you shut the share file to other users I hardly ever get the
downloads.

That's not the issue with me... I was sharing with WinMX all the time.
Still couldn't get any decent downloads, whereas Shareaza allows them
all the time without fail.
