I saw it briefly last night but not today.

It's doing it again.

It's doing it Today with ThunderBird.

What should we do?
Enter something, anything?

I don't use TB to post, just to get a quick look to see if there is anything
new.

In OE the login is there but wasn't accepted, so just pressing "Enter" will
retry.
I have no experience with TB.

Bob,

Please clarify,
Does this get you in?
In OE the login is there but wasn't accepted, so just pressing "Enter" will
retry.

After pressing "Enter" do you see the new posts in the group?

In the past, this kind of occurrence has sometimes been linked to some form
of ad-blocking software which blocks a third-party cookie used by Microsoft.
This seems odd in relation to NNTP--so maybe I'm mixed up here--I haven't
seen this myself.

Bill,

Are you able to get in using a newsreader right now (OE or whatever)

I have tried cancel and enter and cannot see your post below.

I can but I am using Mozilla old version or in other words Netscape!
See if you can read this just posted using Netscape.

I don't have Netscape.

I have FireFox 2.x.4, which works.
I have Thunderbird 2.x.4, which is being prompted, for the first time, for a
user name. Mind you there is a user name in the account settings. Should we
just use that?

Tim

I'm in using Outlook Express in XP SP2. Any date I've posted here in the
last two weeks I've been able to open all of these groups with no oddities.
(I've been at a conference in Wisconsin from two Friday's ago through this
last Saturday afternoon, so I've been posting very little during that
period.)

Hi Bill,

My problems have been OE related so ad blocking doesn't enter into it.

Hi all,

I'm not having any password prompts in these private groups, and I'm seeing
all (I'm assuming all of them) the posts.

In this thread, the latest that I've read was from Bob Vanderveen and it was
time-stamped 5:39 PM.
