What is Windows 98 SE?

Hi, I was looking at a firewire port the other day, and the
specifications required "Windows 98 SE".

How do I know if I have SE? I paid big money for full version
at Best Buy, never regretted it.

If it helps, I think it says second edition on the front of the box.

If it says second edition on the box then you have Win98 SE.

SE = Second Edition.

IIRC, 98SE was never available retail - it was OEM only.

Incorrect, 98SE was on the retail shelves just like 98.
