what is %windir%\$jf_mig$ for

what does xp use %windir%\$jf_mig$ for? what if I delete that directory and
it's contents?
it seem to hold some kb install directories
is the %windir%\$jf_mig$ used in windows repair process?

That directory holds all your Windows Updates. You can delete everything under and
in that folder but NOT the $jf_mig$ folder itself.You need to keep that in place.
Be aware that if you delete everything under that folder you will not be able to
uninstall any of the Updates that is presently installed.
So in repeating you can delete everything under that folder but not the folder
itself. If you delete that folder itself also you will not be able to get any more
updates

I guess Windows use that folder to download updates to install, right?
