Hello,
Three days ago an application on my computer - waap.exe -
began periodically attempting to contact the Internet. My
Norton Security warns me of each attempt - characterized
as a "Medium Threat" level - and I always deny the
application permission to proceed. This is annoying. I
found waap.exe in my Application Data folder.
Can anyone tell me what waap.exe is and why it is suddenly
trying to get online? Is waap.exe a virus? If it is Norton
didn't detect it. If it is a virus how do I get rid of it?
Is it a part of Windows 2000? Should I just leave it
alone? How do I stop it from bugging me? I appreciate your
help.
Thanks,
Russ Kirin
