what is user envirnment?

Before my computer enter into the xp, its come out a pop up with User
Environment window with this heading. Then it said, window cannot load the
locally start profile.....is logging you on a temporary profile.....changes
you make to his profile will not be save.... ANYBODY CAN HELP? When i press
OK Tab it will still lead me to my desktop. Classic icon disappear...
 
Hi,

It most likely means your user profile is corrupt, and a temporary one is
being created for you to use. The solution is to create a new user account
for yourself and then copy the old one into it, as it is very rare that a
corrupted user profile can be fixed.

Note that one step not listed in the article is that after creating the
destination profile you must log into it once first to create the necessary
file structure before you do the copy procedure.
