Brought computer out of overnight idle mode this morning and found a window
with the below and a bit more. What is it? I can't find online references.
I canceled application. XPpro sp2 - firewall on - McAfee virus protect
on.

"WMITarget.exe Common language runtime debugging services
Application has generated a exception that could not be handled."

Acknowledged "you don't know what to do with it".
So how do I turn it off on this two week old XPpro system?? I see how to
disable logging and such using wmimgmt.msc but no way to just turn it off.

Short for Windows Management Instrumentation, an API in the Windows
operating
system that enables devices and systems in a network, typically enterprise
networks, to be managed and controlled. Utilizing CIM, WMI allows network
administrators to query and set information on workstations, applications
and
networks. It would also appear that you have the runtime debugging service
active. Turn it off. As a matter of fact turn off all your debugging stuff
as
you don't know what to do with it anyway and unless you are a developer or
program writer you won't. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the
latest Java. http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp {]:~)

You know, every time I install a new version of Java, my computer does not
delete the older one, so I end up having both running in
all-programs\add-remove. I once had 3. This spans SP1 & now SP2.

Is this a badly written Java install problem, or not?

Maybe it is like a codec thing, and it won't hurt to have more than one..
Just seems to me the darned installation program would remove the older
version...
