This file is in the root of drive C:

C:\$Secure:$SDS

It shows up in the summary of PerfectDisk. Anyone know what it is for? Not
too much about it when using Google. I think it may have something to do
with encryption, but I am only guessing.

A list of all the Security Descriptors on the volume apparently.

Try here [Section 11.3.1. $SDS Data Stream ]
http://www.linux-ntfs.org/content/view/108/47#id4791164

Another funny one there is $UpCase - 128 kb full of capital letters (!).
Used to 'compare and sort filenames', according to that page.

Thanks Jon!

Do I have this right? An "MVP" is asking questions here?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Why not?

Remember the only dumb question is the one that's never asked.
