What is this file & can I delete it?

The Old Fart

I noticed in explorer some files with strange names like
8a0ebdc4360b395333f26e. Do you know just what this file is & can I
safely delete it & others which have similar strange numbers. I'm
guessing that its an update that possibly was aborted or something like
that.

They are updates and normally are deleted when update completed. You may
find one or all are unreadable to you and can not be deleted.

I have just realized that these files aren't on my main 'c' drive which
might mean they are from somewhere else perhaps an aborted download of
Adobe Acrobat reader or even an aborted pod cast. Do you agree?
