I have recently moved my Frontpage Software and webpages from my laptop to
another computer. But now I cannot access my webpages, when I fire up
Frontpage and try to open my web pages I get this message :

Filenames, Folder Names and URLS contain characters outside the system code
page

Does anyone have any clue why this is happening and how to fix?

How did you move the software and web pages between your computers?

1. You need to install the software on the other machine.
2. You need to publish the web pages between machines.

Thomas,
Thanks for speedy response. I reinstalled front page on the new computer
from the original software CD. Then I backed up my web pages from the old
laptop and copied them over. But it is not working...
You say I should publish from my laptop to my computer..Not sure how I
publish from my laptop to my computer... I publish from laptop to remote web
server, now trying to open up files on new computer to edit and re-publish on
webserver, which is where I have the problem.

Sorry if this obvious... any further clues?

If your site live on the internet? If so, is the site hosted on a server that has the FP extensions,
if so then you can open the site directly in FP and publish it to your new computer.

I would start by opening up the live web (remote server)
with FP on the new computer, and then publish from the live
web to your local hard drive.
