What is the Radeon eqivilant of a GeForce 6600GT?

looking to upgrade from a 6600GT 550/1100? what is the Radeon
equivalent and higher models?

What would be able to play Doom 3 or CoD2 at high quality 1024x768 for
instance?

6600GT is in between X800GT and X800GTO. I would say the X800GTO is a
better choice than 6600GT, but it also depends on the price - not
checked the difference recently.
