What is the purpose of the yellow lightbulb on a PowerPoint slide

It's there to remind you to turn off Microsoft's annoying features.
Seriously, I turned it off years ago, so I don't remember all the details,
but I think that it is trying to give you a tip about how to do something
that it thinks you are trying to do.

In addition to what the others have said: If you haven't turned off the
annoying style checker, it means PPT thinks there is a style hiccup.
