What is the purpose of the Activities tab?

Hi

I'm using Win2k, with Office XP.

I hope someone can help me:

1. when opening a *.vcf (whether my own or someone else's), there's
an Activities tab. Please tell me what purpose does this serve.

2. when I open my own *.vcf and view the Activities tab, it shows a
whole bunch of information. Opening an externally created *.vcf shows
nothing. However, I have been told that someone had sent their *.vcf
to an external email address, and the external person COULD see their
items in the Activities Tab! Is that possible?

3. therefore, how do you disassocitate items from the *.vcf? I have
already checked out File menu> Folder> Properties for Contacts, but
cannot delete the default lists - only modify.

Any help is appreciated.

1. As with any contact in Outlook, the Activities tab shows items stored in *YOUR* Outlook folders related to that contact. This lookup is dynamic; it takes place when you open the contact. No activities data is stored in the contact itself.

Sue - many thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

I will go back to the user with this info - now that you have said
this, I'm guessing that the recipient looked at the Activities tab and
mistook the items within as EVERYTHING that the sender
sent/received/whatever - not just the associated corresponding
sent/received emails.

I'll give an update if I get a chance.
