According to microsoft articles OUTLOOK2003 has 20 gig pst
limitions compared to 2 gb on outlook 2000. I am using
exchange 5.5 and outlook 2003 and I want to use the cached
exchange mode. I have 5 gig data on my mail box. When I
used cached exchage mode it syncs only upto 2gb.

After 2gb it fails and says " You reached your maxium
limit"

Is OUTLOOK 2003 supports more than 2 gb of data for
OST file or cached mode.

I cannot find the answer anywhere.

Thanks for the help in advance.

You would suspect that indeed.

I haven't tested it myself but try deleting the ost-file when Outlook is
closed and then let it resync. Outlook should now create a new ost-file by
itself and by default Outlook 2003 creates the new formatted pst-file
format. I expect it does the same for ost-files as there is a new ost-file
format as well.

I think OUTLOOK 2003 OST also has 2 gig limitation. Please
test it and let me know soon.

I need the answer soon. Anyone else from MICROSOFT
knows this? Thanks in advance.

My company CEO has 5 gig data and he do not want to
move his data to pst files. He wants to use OST or cashed
exchange mode on outlook 2003, thats why I bought this
software.

I can't test it at the moment (formatted my Exchange 2003 server and I've
got an SQL exam due tomorrow) but I KNOW ths ost-file format has changed as
well to UNICODE. If you've done an upgrade to Outlook 2003 and deleting the
ost-file didn't gave you the result you might want to recreate the mail
profile (do not copy) in Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles->
button Add...

the size of the ost (or pst) is controlled by the file format which is
controlled by the server - exchange 5.5 only uses ansi versions, not
Unicode.

You need to remove the outlook profile and rebuild it.Control Panel/Mail profile
