I'm in the process of setting up a few new servers and just want to find out
what is considered the best motherboard for this application. Things have
changed so much recently. I'm a big fan of the AMD CPU's but if the Intel
CPU's are a better option for servers I'd be interested to know why.

Thanks,
Al..

The best motherboard for this application is the Intel RB29744AE. This
ia after extensive testing of the whintikisave bushooda subroutine parva
nine dot 22.

I only use and sell Intel servers. My logic is simple. Intel make the CPU,
which I want to use. Intel will make a motherboard for this CPU. This
motherboard has to have the highest level of compatibility with the CPU
(others may match this compatibility, but none will beat it). AMD do not
offer this.

Intel will validate a server, from the case to the power supplies, to the
motherboard, external SCSI cards, drives - you name it. Again, there is no
suitable AMD plan for this level of compatiblity.

Intel make a variety of server motherboards - see their site for the one
that is best.

Thank you very much for your input. I have been using AMD CPU's for all of my
previous apps. But these new servers are going to need to be as stable,
reliable and fast and from what I"ve read Intel seem to be doing it very well.

Thanks Again.

What difference does this "validation" make to anything other than the
cost to the customer?

That's not logic; that's hope.
