I have upgraded my kid's computer to an HP Media Center and taken their
old Dell 4300 Desktop as a backup to my business laptop. Anyone help me
out with info on how much memory I can put into it as well as a good
source for buying it?

Thanks

Frank

2 slots maximum 512MB per slot. PC parts suppliers sell ram.

Crucial.com should supply both your needs. Very reliable. As long
as you are upgrading, check whether the board can support ECC, and
if so do it. Especially when you are relying on it for business
records, you don't want to be subject to the vagaries of cosmic
rays destroying anything.

Crucial also has an 800-336-8916 number where you can kick around
the possibilities. They told me that I couldn't get ECC for my IBM
T30 laptop, unfortunately.
