What is the limit to the # of workstations that can connect

We are running a windows 2K office. We have a Windows 2K
server and then there is a 2nd computer acting as a Fax
server for a specifice application.

Under windows 98 we had no problems (and there was no
security) running/installing the fax client and having all
workstations access the fax "server" without mapping a
drive to the "fax server".

With windows 2K we seem to have to map to keep the
connection between client and server. however we are not
getting a message at each workstation:

\\station31\... is not available

No more connections can be made to this remote computer at
this time because there are already as many connections as
the computer can accept.

How would I configure the 2000 workstation, acting as the
application fax server - to accept auto access by the 2000
clients (35 - in total #) - Thanks.

Is the fax server running a workstation OS? If so, you're limited to 10
simultanous connections; that's hard coded. Also note that one person might
have more than one connection open at a time, so it isn't per-person. Time
for a server OS on that device if you need it.

2000 Pro (Workstation) can only accept at most 20 clients at a time for
shared resources... that is by design. For more users, you would need 2000
or 2003 Server.

Bloops 10 btw, not 20... typo.
