The limit in Outlook 2002 is 1.82GB. I hit that limit and don't have any
e-mail to delete. Did the limit change in Outlook 2003?

You will need to verify that the .ost file was created in the new Outlook
unicode format. If it is, then 20 gigs is the upper limit without registry
changes.

I am not positive but I believe the limits of an .OST created in Outlook 2003
Unicode format would have the same (much higher) limits as a Unicode .PST
file. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
