What is the information store cannot be found, error message?

I get an error "information store cannot be found", when I try to open outlook.
Can anyone help?

I have outlook 2003, I have a new computer with vista and all I did was
installed microsoft office professional edition 2003. All the other office
programs installed fine, but when trying to open outlook, I get the error The
information store cannot be found.

puter w/vista. All other office programs work fine, but cannot open outlook,
get "information store cannot be found."

Sounds like you have not yet configured an Outlook profile with a valid mail
account. Do so now: Control Panel > Mail... (classic view).
Something doesn't fit with your description. If you have never opened
Outlook before with a clean install, Outlook setup forces you to do this on
first launch. Are you telling us the whole story?
