When I open outlook and try to do anything with calender or appointments the
computer downloads in real download the file grab.cur or grab(1).cur or
Grab(2).cur. When I try to open the file it can not be opened but it seems
to be needed to work in calender and appointments but does not go where it is
supposed to. Has frozen outlook when I try to work without it. This only has
happened since downloading messenger 8 and now 8,1

those are cursor files.outlook shouldn't be downing them (or anything else).
What version of outlook do you have installed? Have you tried detect and
repair?

It is not an Outlook native file. It sounds like a third party file, possibly malicious. What add-ins do you have installed in Outlook?
