What is the extension name for a table?

Not a database, but a table in it. I was hoping to locate
it somehow, it just disappeared and recovery utility is
not finding it. I figure it's real name as far as the
computer is concerned is different from what I named it,
also, I do not know what extension it would be.
Database is Newpersonnel
Table missing is Pastemployees
Help me!!!

All the objects in an Access database exist inside a single file, which by
default gets a file extension of ".mdb". Tables and other objects inside
that file do not have file extensions.

If you accidentally deleted a table and have not done much to change the
file since, you may be able to recover it using this technique:
