what is the difference between service pack2 and this beta?

i am a bit confused between the two thing since microsoft
is saying that service pack2 is also able to detect and
delete worms,viruses and adds but i have got some serious
problem with some addwares on my pc. when i ran it it found
4 addwares in a directory which uses another specified
system and thus it can not be removed why it that?
can some one help me please?

Where does Microsoft say that SP2 will "detect and delete worms,viruses and
adds"? I've never seen such a statement and it doesn't. It will stop
popups.
