thank you.

There is no difference.

Some people use the .cmd extension when writing batch files that
include commands specific to WinNT/2000/XP, to tag such files
and to prevent them from being executed on a Win9x system.

I have yet to figure out how to get a good link from groups.google.com. I
could have sworn that I was smart, but apparently it's not that true. Damn
it! So, how does one get a good url like that? I always trim away items
from the querystring and make it as short as possible with it still working.

Hi

You can drop this part of your URL:

&seekm=3F183930.6056EC31%40dllr.state.md.us#link1

ending up with the short result
http://groups.google.com/groups?th=26db8b3a388356e2

But it might be that it was the preceding < in your URL in your first post that
made it wrap?

What happens if you just try to post it as

http://groups.google.com/groups?th=26db8b3a388356e2&[email protected]#link1

without the surrounding < > ?

That is the other thing that I am not intelligent enough to figure out
either. I've heard rumors that <>'ing a link will prevent it from wrapping,
but I guess it's not true. It wrapped. Maybe I should set my linewrap to
999999999. Okay, maybe I won't really do that.

Thanks T

In your last post, the URL in the quoted text (from my post) did not wrap...

Thanks. Perhaps I should start using an actual newsreader instead of
hyperterminal.
