Hi
I am trying to sort out my set up of Oulook 2002.
The only e-mail account that Outlook currently synchronises with is my
Hotmail account (I may get Outlook to look at other e-mail accounts later on
- once I have tidied up the current configuration of Outlook).
Currently, there are four folders attached to the root in my Folder List -
Archive Folders / Hotmail / Outlook Today - [Personal Folders] / Personal
Folders. Each of these "Header" folders has numerous folders within it.
I have never really how I should be using these folders to get the most out
of Outlook. Is there any documentation that could help me?
Specifically:
What is the purpose of the Outlook Today - [Personal Folders] group of
folders? Many of the folder names in it are the same as those in the Personal
Folders group of folders.
Why does the Inbox folder in the Outlook Today - [Personal Folders] group of
folders not synchronise automatically with the Inbox folder in the Hotmail
group of folders?
Why does the New Hotmail folder in the Outlook Today - [Personal Folders]
group of folders not automatically pick up new e-mails that are shown in the
Inbox folder in the Hotmail group of folders?
What is the purpose of a New Hotmail folder - is there any benefit over just
having an Inbox folder? I am happy to be educated / enlightened.
Thanks in advance for any light that anyone can shed on the above questions.
Peter
