Probably a used Microdrive bought off of ebay.

Now, perhaps if you specify a few parameters . . .

The criteria were "reliability and cost", not "capacity" or "transfer rate".
A used Microdrive can be had dirt cheap, and they're designed to compete
directly with solid state CF memory, so they're made to be about as durable
as a hard disk gets.
