Can anyone recommend a good, free HTML editor?

suggestions here:
<http://www.pricelessware.org/2003/PL2003WEBDESIGN.htm>

Also suggest: Stones WebWriter
<http://www.webwriter.dk/english/>
free for private use, but requires registration!

Tip, try: <http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en>

For example:
search for "html editor" in alt.comp.freeware
<http://google.com/groups?as_epq=html editor&as_ugroup=alt.comp.freeware&as_scoring=d&lr=&num=100>

All the best,

Microsoft Front Page Express is included
in IE5.01 setup. It is a FPSETUP.CAB
uncab the file and run the setup.
Version is 2.0.2.1131

Can anyone recommend a good, free HTML editor?

Anyone that chooses to use Frontpage should be stuck up against a wall and
stoned to death <gg>

Disclaimer:
I know I'm probably wrong, I just like taking part ;o)

I hate it !!

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but my favourite is Arachnophilia
(pre cross-platform version, for me. That way no need to install
Java). Also, if you do end up deciding to use Arachnophilia, there is
a freeware add-on that creates buttons to allow one to very easily
create one's own stationery.

This might not be important for some, for if you invariably have
contracts in the govt, as I do, and whose friends all seem to work in
the govt, all EXE files get blocked in everyone's emails. Their
defenses are very high in this regard. So email stationery makes a
very nice "eCard"-style email that goes through with no problem.

Arachnophilia v4.0:

And if you're interested, Sven's Arachnophilia stationery add-on:
http://members.tripod.com/servais/downloads.htm
click on the 3rd link down that says "Custom Arachnophilia Toolbars
Version 3.02.

Good luck and hth!
