I know CK rename already.
Thanks
It depends upon what you want to do and how you work. What particular
features are you seeking? What type of files are most important?
Some (current, former, or nominee) Pricelessware also include file
renaming as a feature or focus on specific filetypes (i.e., TrackerV3
and can't-remember-Shell-Convert-File-Name-Case in Desktop, or MP3
Book Helper and others in Multimedia |> MP3 Tool).
The following are all popular, effective general purpose file renaming
tools:
1-4a Rename
Ants Renamer
Flexible Renamer - Pricelessware 2003
Lupas Rename (Lupas 2000) - 2004
Oscar's File Renamer - 2004
Rname-it - 2003
THE Rename - 2004, 2003
For sites, see Files: Renamer for Pricelessware:

For non-Pricelessware and additional favorably mentioned renamers,
see:

I think Oscar's Renamer is very easy to use (quite intuitive) yet
powerful once the macro capability is combined with its predefined
substitution patterns. It takes a rather different approach than the
others. It does have its flaws (e.g., using TAGs and application
context menu) but has held up quite well.
When evaluating them last fall, I thought Lupas Rename a little easier
to learn and use but THE Rename a little more powerful. Ant Renamer
also takes a slightly different approach than the others. I recommend
Oscar's plus Lupas (or any of the others).
My personal favorite to complement Oscar's Renamer switched from
donationware to shareware this year just as it became my co-favorite.
Name It Your Way (NIYoW) has a very clean interface for building and
displaying a complex set of rules (steps). I haven't seen anything as
nice since, alas. (I also haven't looked very hard.)
(Horrors -- a commercial program name. Save us your whining unless
you also have a specific substitute to mention.)
This topic has also been discussed numerous times over the years. The
following queries (all one line) will return several threads that say
"xxx is my favorite" (mostly without explaining why one is superior to
another).
