What is so special today at Microsoft that I saw among the private
newsgroups only 1 person answering posts. Majority of posts in the private
newsgroup went unanswered today.

Did I go into the wrong server? I re-registered and changed the account
password

There are hundreds of private newsgroups. Which one are you talking about
that you actually have access to?

.....private.directaccess.windowsXp
smallbizserver2003
and a few others

using the same old nntp server for private NG as before the Feb 14
registration date

Well, it's news to me that microsoft.private.* are somehow now an avenue for
free support from Microsoft. When did Microsoft start giving away support
for free? You sure they aren't just like other newsgroups in that you get
support from a peer community of volunteers?

If you have authorized access to the private newsgroups, you should know who
to contact.

Besides, they are not MS support groups.

No, it is not entirely free. it is available only to authorized
organizations.after some annual fee.

However, there is some free break/fix support in some critical enterprise
system down situation for authorized consultants , reseller.. Naturally the
pay by hour/incident support is better. and often Google and peer help is
also better and faster.
